One Year Old Temper Tantrums

I have no idea what gives, but Brixy and I just sat and had one of her little friends over the other day and for the life of me, this little girl would not stop fussing.

Kids are so strange.

They are so good one day and then the next they just act like something is going on with them.

It is so frustrating because, with some babies, you can not figure out if they have an earache, headache, back ache….any aches!!!  or if they are just being little weenies. Continue reading One Year Old Temper Tantrums

Fibrile Seizures – Not an Easy Sight.

As a newer parent, I tend to read a lot about child rearing and childhood diseases so that I’m as prepared as I can be if something does sicken my child.

I make sure I hold my baby often (even as she is an older toddler) and take care of anything that needs to be taken care of quickly and with prompt action.

When your child suffers from a disease that suddenly shocks you, no words will explain it and experience is the only thing that will ever give you the insight on the absolute terror that can rush through your body as you watch your child leave from you and go somewhere that you will never know.

Let me tell you my story: Continue reading Fibrile Seizures – Not an Easy Sight.

American Girl Dolls – Coupons for that?

So my little Brixy got one of the itty bitty dolls from Grandma.

She loves them and we now get all those American Girl magazines and instead of wanting to read Elmo and little kid stuff, she wants these American Girl Doll Stories.

Did you all know that American Girl has so many little stories to go with all those dolls?

Is that why the cost so much money?

I mean…there are SOOO many girls!

It all started with one itty bitty baby.

I don’t get it.

I wasn’t much of a doll girl growing up.

I’ll be happy when they come up with an American Doll that takes a bottle because the other doll that my little girl loves is this generic little thing from Wal-Mart.

I don’t even know the name of it, but she loves it.

It basically does two things.

1. It can take a little fake baby bottle in the mouth.

2. It can suck it’s little fake baby thumb in the mouth.

It’s a cute little baby doll for sure.

Brixy loves jumping and I know that has nothing to do with an American Girl Doll right now, but Brixy is jumping up and down and it got me thinking.

What if they make an American Girl Doll that squeaks with joy or something like that when little girls jump around?

That way, they would jump even more and then maybe that would tire them out.

Now that’s the perfect doll baby!

Can someone please invent a doll baby that entices the little energetic girls in the world to jump and run more because us parents need it.

Any toy that tires a kid out is good in my book.

So if you people out there know anyone that has a good toy out there to tire kids out with, please share because I need a break!

Oh yeah..and if you know where I can get any American Girl Doll Coupons, I would be totally happy for that because I’m going to need them!

Unbelievable Wait!

It is crazy how long I’ve waited for this site to finally happen. I have a lot I still have to do but I so excited when this blog finally got up and running.

So what is Brixia 2013?

Well, Brixy was born in 2013.  Truth be told, I’m her mom.

I want to talk about Brixy and how she develops and grows, maybe talk about kid stuff and keep track of the wonderful things that Brixy does.

So let’s start with the fact that Brixy is two years old.

She is a beautiful blondy that has a lot of energy and she smiles and laughs, I suppose like 2 year olds do.

Brixy is not a fan of oatmeal.

She strangely like blue cheese and she totures her dogs.

So that’s what I want to tell you about BRixy for now and I”ll make sure to write more later.

The movie Gnomeo and Juliet is on right now and it’s such an interesting little film.

I wonder how long it took for the animators to animate the feature film and I wonder which character was considered better than another to animate.

I use to do animation myself, so I have a lot of knowledge of it but never applied myself in regards to the job world in it because I couldn’t stand the thought of working for Disney and they would end up owning anything I created during the time I would be working for them.

I don’t know if I just used that excuse because I was scared to actually try to do something big and be involved in the film industry or if I just really didnt’ want to animate.

I was a good animator.

I’ve won little awards.

But…I let it go.

I like action and animation, at the time, took way too much time to do and the fact that the computer became a tool to animate with made it more difficult because I was trained in classical animation which is drawing by hand.

Learning the computer was not on the top of my list of things to do so I resisted to growing and ran away from any change….got myself a teach degree and now here I am blogging on the internet.

I tried my hand at photography, made a couple thousand dollars but discovered that I might be better off finding something else when Brixy was born.

Brixy takes a lot of time!  But I love it.

I am so happy I had children.

Ok…time to go. I’m about to fall asleep!
